Role overview

Product Designer Who Codes (design-first) at Shakepay. You will bridge design, product, and engineering by owning features end-to-end—from understanding the problem to delivering UI through code.

Key missions

• Own the product development process from problem understanding to designing the user experience and writing front-end code
• Replace static mockups with functional prototypes to validate ideas quickly and reduce risk
• Collaborate closely with backend and core engineering teams to deliver significant impact

What you’ll bring

• A portfolio showing live products you designed and built (not just mockups)
• A builder mindset: define problems, make decisions, and drive work to completion with minimal oversight
• Excellent communication: clearly explain design decisions and technical trade-offs across design and engineering
• Passion for Bitcoin and the future of money
• Strong product taste: quality-focused, creating intuitive, fast, delightful experiences
• Deep technical understanding of modern front-end constraints and how to design within them
• Experience shipping real products where you owned both design and implementation (e.g., React Native, Node, TypeScript, Vue.js)
