Product Designer

Role Overview

Whatnot is hiring Product Designers to design end-to-end product experiences for a high-impact livestream commerce platform. You’ll help shape the product across user-facing features, internal tools, and core platform systems—turning complex workflows into clear, efficient, user-centric experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, end-to-end workflows across user-facing and internal tooling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and other partners.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and final visual designs for ambiguous and complex problems.
• Translate research insights and user requirements into compelling design solutions.
• Contribute to the design system, advocating for accessibility and inclusive UX.
• Use data, research, and feedback to iterate on existing features and identify improvements.
• Help build design culture through sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and improving processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Product Design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
• Strong interaction and systems thinking; ability to untangle complex flows and handle edge cases.
• Expertise in prototyping/design tools such as Figma and other prototyping tools (e.g., Protopie, Framer).
• Deep understanding of UX methodologies including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience designing zero-to-one products or new platforms in ambiguous environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or supply chain management.

Work Location / Remote Policy

• Option to work from hubs in LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle or remote (U.S. only).
