About the role

Role Overview

Product Designer at Spacelift (DevOps). You’ll work on a mature product area, turning defined problems into clear, production-ready interface designs while partnering closely with engineering and PM.

Key Missions

  • Carry well-scoped, ongoing design work on a mature product domain under senior review.
  • Transform defined problems into interface concepts using strong skills in:
    • Interaction design
    • Information architecture
    • Visual design
  • Iterate, improve, and polish designs to consistent production quality.
  • Contribute to user research with a senior designer by running targeted user interviews and usability checks.

Responsibilities

  • Produce interface designs ready for implementation and collaborate through the build process.
  • Partner with engineering/PM to ensure solutions are production-ready.
  • Support technical fluency growth through collaboration on technical and developer-facing problems.
  • Use AI tools in the design workflow (ideation, exploration, basic automation).

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of product design experience.
  • Ideally experience with B2B, technical, or developer-facing products.
  • Strong fundamentals in interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
  • Reliable on iterative execution: finish work, sweat details, and keep quality consistent across surfaces.
  • Fluent English (B2+) and based in Europe.
  • Figma proficiency and familiarity with modern design system practices.
  • Portfolio/work samples showing shipped product work, design decisions, process, and visual craft (applications without examples are not considered).
  • Clear written and verbal communicator; can explain design decisions succinctly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with design tokens and contributing to a design system (without necessarily owning it).
  • Background/coursework in DevOps tools: infrastructure, observability, CI/CD, or developer products.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or basic prototyping in code.
  • Exposure to Working Backwards or other artifact-driven product practices.
  • Comfort using AI tools daily in a design workflow.
