Product Designer - Remote

Role Overview

Join Checkr as a Staff Product Designer on the Growth team. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive user acquisition, conversion optimization, and customer satisfaction through a self-serve, product-led growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Embed with the Growth team to help define the product roadmap and vision; lead key design efforts
• Own and execute design work for:
  • Funnel optimization
  • New user experiences (NUX)
  • Personalization strategies
• Use AI technologies to craft personalized, engaging customer experiences
• Design growth systems, run experiments, and develop features using data-driven insights
• Create seamless, intuitive experiences for SMB users across touchpoints
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to generate ideas and solutions
• Translate complex concepts into clear, user-friendly designs (from brainstorming to high-fidelity prototypes)
• Conduct/participate in UX research, analyze findings, and advocate for user needs
• Manage stakeholder feedback, challenge assumptions, and uphold design best practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio
• 4+ years designing within Growth teams, ecommerce, or merchandising environments
• Proven ability to design onboarding, merchandising surfaces, and optimize conversion funnels
• Experience with iterative experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
• Ability to independently conduct UX research/testing and translate insights into actionable improvements
• Strong grasp of modern design patterns and best practices
• Excellent communication skills; able to align teams around high-level concepts

Nice to Have

• Experience with behavioral science/psychology
• Familiarity with B2B companies targeting SMBs
