Role overview

Join RateHub as a Product Designer and take end-to-end ownership of the design process—from discovery and research to ideation, prototyping, and delivery. You’ll act as the voice of the customer, using both qualitative and quantitative insights to validate problems and solutions.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design process (research, ideation, prototyping, UX/UI design, usability testing, delivery)
Validate ideas and design decisions using user research and usability testing
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Content to create user-centered experiences
Build and maintain design systems and style guides, ensuring accessibility and consistency across products
Translate high-level concepts into intuitive user experiences that drive real impact

Requirements

3+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio (responsive web and mobile)
Strong UX and UI skills with excellent attention to detail
Proficiency using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions
Experience with usability testing tools such as UserTesting.com and/or Maze
Experience with analytics tools such as Heap and/or Hotjar
Familiarity with Agile and tools like Jira and Confluence
High proficiency with Figma
Ability to design 0→1 products/features and work effectively in ambiguity
Comfortable designing for customer-facing financial services products
Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills

Nice-to-haves

Experience designing scalable, component-based design systems
Experience with Storybook or WordPress
Basic front-end understanding: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Post-secondary degree/certificate in UX Design or related field
