Product Designer

Role Overview

Join Ramp as a Product Designer to define product problems, explore solutions, and ship product experiences that change customer behavior. You’ll collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and other designers, using AI tools throughout your design process.

Key Missions

• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to define problems, explore solutions, and ship product improvements.
• Use AI tools to clarify intent, draft PRDs, and validate concepts.
• Prototype with AI and build/iterate on simple user flows and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PMs to define success metrics and iterate based on results.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate directly with engineers and PMs.
• Own projects end-to-end: problem definition → launch → iteration.
• Contribute to or extend design systems and shared components.
• Plan and run customer interviews and usability tests.

Requirements

• Strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft; demonstrated via a portfolio.
• Experience working as a Product Designer on complex products, ideally B2B/fintech/systems-heavy domains.
• Comfortable working in fast-moving teams where iteration and shipping are key.
• Familiar with design systems; comfortable with basic front-end concepts (e.g., components and states).
• Hands-on comfort using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code (even if not coding by hand).
• Active use of LLMs (e.g., Claude or ChatGPT) in the design workflow.

Nice-to-Haves

• Additional experience with extending shared design system components.
• Demonstrated ability to translate design concepts into usable implementations with engineers.
