About the role

Role overview

Product Designer (AI + Code + Design Systems) for a remote, US-based travel technology team. This role is intentionally not a traditional handoff-based design seat—you're expected to design and build, ship to production, and iterate using real-world data.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the full design craft: user research, behavioral analytics, ideation, prototyping in code, validation, and production shipping
  • Deliver high craft with attention to detail while shipping fast
  • Evolve an existing design system and apply it across white-labeled product variants for multiple audiences
  • Treat AI mastery as essential: work fluently with tools such as Claude/ChatGPT/Gemini, Figma AI, and code-gen/agent tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Bolt, MagicPatterns)
  • Make decisions backed by analytics and research, knowing when to trust data vs. experience
  • Stay embedded in user problems, travel insights, and business outcomes alongside engineers and PMs in your product pod
  • Prototype in code, test with users, and iterate at velocity
  • Experiment with new AI tools publicly and share learnings with the design team

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of product design experience across Web and Native applications
  • 2+ years hands-on experience using AI design/coding agents in professional workflows
  • Strong Figma proficiency (interaction/visual design and systems thinking)
  • Fluency in front-end technologies for prototyping in code: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Figma AI, Lovable, Bolt, MagicPatterns (or similar)
  • Strong understanding of user research methods and behavioral analytics
  • Experience building/contributing to design systems and component libraries at scale
  • Builder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, shipping rapidly, improving based on what works
  • Bachelor’s in Design/HCI or equivalent experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship)

Nice to haves

  • Experience operating in AI-augmented, code-generating workflows where designers routinely ship production changes
