Role Overview

Product Designer (IC) for Places at Raya. You’ll strengthen and evolve the team’s design foundations by maintaining and improving the design system, ensuring high-quality execution across product surfaces, and supporting accurate handoff to engineering.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain, expand, and document the Figma design system, keeping components clean, consistent, and implementation-ready.
• Create clear, detailed design specifications so engineering can build features accurately.
• Support senior designers with user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity assets.
• Regularly audit components, patterns, and screens to find inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure components are implemented correctly and behave as intended.
• Promote accessibility, scalability, and visual consistency across Raya and Places.
• Participate in design critiques, providing feedback and system-level solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4+ years of product/UI-UX design experience with exposure to design systems and component-based design.
• Strong Figma skills, including working with libraries, variants, and structured design files.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and methodical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to translate requirements into clean, accurate specs for engineering.
• Portfolio demonstrating UI craft, design systems work, and scalable design patterns.
• Degree in Design/HCI or equivalent experience.

• Experience maintaining/contributing to robust design systems.
• Strong organizational habits (tidy libraries, good documentation).
