About the role

Role Overview

Product Designer at Ocrolus—build at the intersection of AI and fintech to help lenders automate workflows with confidence. You’ll thrive in ambiguity, find design opportunities in conversations, and move quickly from AI-assisted prototyping to engineer-ready design deliverables.

Responsibilities

Define end-to-end user experience for a digital product, creating user journeys, interaction patterns, task flows, sketches, wireframes, and visual design
Convert ambiguous/qualitative customer feedback into actionable design hypotheses and workflow improvements
Proactively identify and surface product friction; bring forward design problems before they’re assigned
Use AI-powered prototyping tools (e.g., Claude, Replit, Figma Make) to generate interactive prototypes for fast feedback loops
Translate prototypes into high-fidelity, developer-ready Figma designs with clear handoff
Ask the right questions to surface critical design inputs and cut through noise to prioritize effectively
Partner with Product Management and UX Research to target friction in the mortgage lender workflow and lead design reviews
Maintain visual and brand consistency across products and platforms
Build functional prototypes to validate and test design decisions

Requirements

3–5 years of product design experience with a portfolio showing real ownership
Strong Figma proficiency (polished, component-consistent, developer-handoff-ready designs required)
Hands-on experience with AI tools for rapid prototyping (e.g., Claude, Figma Make, Replit, or similar)
Self-starter mindset; form a point of view and drive toward solutions
Ability to interpret ambiguous feedback and translate it into structured UX improvements
Genuine curiosity about users and the product; ask thoughtful questions
Strong communication skills to present design decisions

Nice to Haves

Portfolio work related to complex workflows (e.g., mortgage/lending, risk management, or document-driven processes)
