Product Designer

Role: Product Designer

Midstream is seeking a Product Designer to help shape and deliver end-to-end product experiences for an AI-native financial platform used by health system teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design: drive the full design lifecycle from customer research and problem definition through wireframes, prototypes, visual design, launch, and iteration.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and health system partners to turn fragmented, manual workflows into intuitive, AI-powered experiences.
• Conduct and apply user research: build a deep understanding of customers and continuously incorporate feedback into product decisions.
• Design intuitive enterprise workflows that translate complex data, financial processes, and AI insights into usable, scalable experiences.
• Shape the design system: contribute to strategy, architecture, and governance; create reusable patterns and components.
• Design for AI-native experiences: define natural AI integration, build user trust, communicate AI-generated insights clearly, and balance automation with human decision-making.
• Contribute beyond the core role as an early-stage team member to support launches, improve customer-facing experiences, and clarify complex ideas.

Requirements

• Strong interest in owning product experiences end to end.
• Ability to translate complex enterprise workflows and data into intuitive, scalable UI/UX.
• Experience conducting user research and validating assumptions with customers.
• Comfort partnering with Product and Engineering to deliver measurable value.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing for AI-native software and/or complex enterprise domains (e.g., finance, operations, healthcare workflows).
• Experience contributing to or governing a design system and component library.
