About the role

Product Designer (Generative AI / Explainable AI)

You’ll design core product experiences for Meibel’s platform used by technical users such as engineers, operators, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

Lead UX and interface design across core platform experiences (workflows, dashboards, debugging tools, evaluation systems)
Translate complex technical functionality into clear, usable interfaces for developer and data-centric audiences
Create user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma
Partner with product managers and engineers to validate designs and ensure implementation quality
Conduct user research with technical teams to understand use cases, pain points, and mental models
Contribute to and evolve the design system with engineering and accessibility best practices
Support marketing with product visuals and narrative assets for launches, campaigns, and web content
Shape the product and brand voice/aesthetic through design and storytelling

Requirements

4+ years designing SaaS/platform products, ideally in technical or data-heavy domains
Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, clean UI design, and the ability to simplify complexity
Experience designing for developer tools, data platforms, infrastructure, or ML/AI systems
Strong UX for technical users (e.g., dashboards, configuration tools, role-based systems, workflow builders)
Fluency in Figma and modern design systems (components, design tokens)
Collaboration comfort with engineers and basic understanding of frontend development
Experience with user research and usability testing; iterative design mindset
Clear communication and documentation; able to explain design rationale

Nice to Haves

Developer experience (DX) or internal platform tools experience
Familiarity with observability, configuration management, or model evaluation
Background in brand/illustration/motion design
Ability to create assets for web, social, and product marketing
