Product Designer (Marketplace)

Role overview

You’ll be a Product Designer on Thumbtack’s Marketplace team, turning complex problems into intuitive user experiences. You’ll help set product vision and strategy by partnering across design, research, product, engineering, data science, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, from conception through launch
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to lead product visions and shape the product roadmap
• Turn complex problems into intuitive UX through iterative design
• Rapidly create multiple concepts and interactive prototypes
• Test, learn, and iterate using data and user research
• Deliver design solutions that contribute to measurable business and user impact

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall product design experience
• Strong prototyping skills, including interactive prototypes to validate product concepts
• A bias for action and clear understanding of how design impacts users and the business
• Portfolio demonstrating impactful projects and the design process
• Experience designing customer experiences that resulted in measurable and sustainable growth
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
• Ability to balance quality craft with speed, learning, and iterative experimentation
• Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills with a human-centric approach
