About the role

Role Overview

Product Designer (VIMO team) building end-to-end user experiences for web and mobile products, including accessibility and a shared UI design system.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (preferred) | Remote (occasional travel required)

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end experiences: create wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces for web and mobile.
Translate insights into solutions: use analytics, research, and user feedback to guide design decisions.
Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with product, engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality UX.
Own and evolve the UI design system: maintain and improve shared patterns, style guides, and UI kits.
Support user research: participate in user testing, synthesize findings with analytics, and turn insights into design improvements.
Champion accessibility & usability: advocate for inclusive design practices aligned with WCAG standards.

Requirements

Portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving via interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
4+ years of professional UX/user design experience; staying current with UX tools and practices.
Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Experience with design systems and component libraries.
Solid understanding of semantic HTML/CSS and ability to translate Figma specs into front-end guidance.
Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
Experience collaborating with distributed teams across time zones.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI-powered design tools (e.g., v0.dev, Figma Make).
Curiosity about UX for AI-driven products.
Experience designing mobile apps.
Ability to create interactive prototypes in HTML/CSS.
Hands-on user testing experience.
Degree in Design, HCI, Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
