About the role

Role overview

As a Product Designer at GC AI, you’ll own the end-to-end design of a legal AI platform evolving from an AI copilot into workflow orchestration and autonomous legal teams. You’ll solve hard AI product design problems, create intuitive multi-agent workflow experiences, surface insights from large datasets, and define the trust signals that help lawyers delegate work confidently.

What you’ll do

  • Design AI-native workflows end-to-end, including:
    • prompt inputs and agent outputs
    • streaming responses, citations
    • confidence signals and trust cues
  • Ship features weekly with PMs and engineers (from early Figma exploration to pixel-perfect handoff)
  • Prototype new AI interaction patterns (e.g., chat, agents, document review, multi-step automations) to validate ideas
  • Contribute to and extend the Figma design system to keep the product consistent and scalable
  • Talk with in-house legal users to understand workflows, pain points, and where AI helps vs. gets in the way
  • Translate dense legal workflows into clean, intuitive interfaces

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of product design experience in B2B SaaS/enterprise/workflow/productivity with a portfolio showing features you owned end-to-end
  • Strong Figma skills and comfort working within (and contributing to) an established design system
  • Comfort with code: prototype in HTML/CSS/JS (or React), and/or ship small front-end changes yourself (or have a CS degree/equivalent technical background)
  • Strong visual and interaction design sensibility (hierarchy, motion, attention to detail)
  • Ability to move fast, iterate with user feedback, and ship toward excellence
  • Strong ownership and follow-through; proactively raise issues you spot

Nice to have

  • CS degree, coding bootcamp, or strong technical self-taught foundation
  • Experience designing for AI/LLM products (chat, agents, generative UI, copilots)
  • Experience working in fast-growing environments
