Product Designer (Mid-Level)

Location: Jefferson City, MO (remote available) | Travel: up to 2 times per quarter for planning sessions

Role Overview

Join Elevait Solutions’ growing product design team to design and evolve digital products that deliver meaningful, accessible, and intuitive user experiences. You’ll collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other designers/researchers to ensure customer needs (“voice of the customer”) are translated into usable product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead designers to finalize feature designs and expand workflows to cover all use cases.
• Create interactive prototypes with detailed design annotations.
• Translate business/technical requirements into user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs that are technically feasible.
• Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA).
• Partner with product owners and Agile teams so design work is accurately represented in epics, features, and user stories.
• Adapt designs based on stakeholder feedback, standups, and sprint planning.
• Perform design QA to verify the developed product matches specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct and analyze user research and usability testing; synthesize findings to drive user-centered decisions.
• Present insights, concepts, and prototypes; refine designs based on feedback.
• Represent design across cross-functional Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups).
• Communicate design decisions clearly to developers and product stakeholders while advocating for users.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of digital product design experience for web and mobile.
• Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with engineers.
• Experience designing accessible UI for complex applications; familiarity with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA.
• Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with design systems.
• Experience creating user flows, wireframes, design annotations, and interactive prototypes.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing, including the ability to analyze and present findings.
• Strong UI/UX fundamentals and ability to map business needs to intuitive designs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong prioritization and ability to re-prioritize in dynamic environments.
• Proactive, self-directed multitasking and task management.
• Analytical mindset balanced with creativity and strategic thinking.
• Ability to work effectively with Agile teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with B2B platforms or complex systems.
• Prior experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical domains.
