About the role

Role Overview

Product Designer (Contractor) at Orium. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and improve digital experiences for enterprise clients across LATAM, the US, or Canada. You’ll report to the UX Lead and focus on UI, design systems, quality assurance, and user-centered problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize and design sites, components, and interfaces while aligning with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain and iterate design systems, improving existing components and partnering with developers and designers.
  • Conduct Design Quality Assurance (DQA) for visual and interaction design to ensure polished implementation.
  • Resolve design-related tickets and issues to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Create wireframes from research insights, requirements, and sketches.
  • Develop and communicate interaction models and experience architectures using conceptual sketches, diagrams, and maps.
  • Run heuristic evaluations and usability testing, applying best practices.
  • Facilitate design reviews, collect client feedback, and support approvals.
  • Support Product Strategy with defining experience/product requirements throughout delivery.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience as a UX professional with hands-on delivery (website interfaces and design systems).
  • Portfolio with real, non-hypothetical projects showing:
    • Strong visual design focused on UI
    • Responsive design
  • Proficiency with collaborative design and prototyping tools: Figma and Miro (and others).
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable sharing ideas and giving/receiving feedback.
  • Familiarity with modern digital tools and openness to integrating AI-powered solutions.
  • Fluent Spanish and English (written and verbal).

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong grasp of UX fundamentals (e.g., information architecture, flows, usability).
  • Agency experience and exposure to e-commerce projects.
  • Conceptual understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility principles and guidelines.

  • Anywhere in the World (HQ: Mexico; role described as remote).
