About the role
Role Overview
Artisan Talent’s client is hiring a Product Designer to provide design coverage during a summer sabbatical. The contract role focuses on maintaining momentum across active product initiatives while ensuring consistent, high-quality UX/UI delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day product design execution across active initiatives to ensure continuity during the sabbatical
- Act as the primary design point of contact for Product and Engineering teams
- Execute design work based on requirements, user flows, and existing frameworks
- Work within and uphold design systems, UX patterns, and brand standards
- Participate in design reviews and team rituals to keep work aligned and moving
- Translate product requirements into clear, user-friendly design solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing product needs
Requirements
- 3–6+ years of product design experience with a strong balance of UX and UI
- Expertise in Figma for design and prototyping
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams in Agile environments
- Familiarity with Jira and GitHub (workflow and light QA collaboration)
- Ability to work effectively within existing design systems without redefining core frameworks
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience in ecommerce or marketplace platforms
