About the role
Role Overview
Artisan Talent’s client is seeking a Product Designer to create thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences for the healthcare industry. You’ll partner with clients and internal teams to translate complex business requirements and user needs into intuitive UI layouts, interactions, prototypes, and flows in an agile consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex user and business requirements into wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes (using Figma).
- Present and advocate for design recommendations with a clear rationale (“why”) to client stakeholders.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and other discovery activities to validate solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, strategists, and cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible, aligned, and implemented accurately.
- Iterate quickly based on user feedback, technical constraints, client input, and shifting priorities.
- Contribute to and maintain design systems, reusable components, and consistent UI patterns.
- Use market/competitor and UX/UI best-practice insights to inform design decisions.
- Balance user needs, business goals, accessibility standards, and technical feasibility throughout the design process.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional UX/UI, digital product design, or UX experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and design thinking.
- Strong Figma proficiency for wireframing, prototyping, component libraries, and high-fidelity UI design.
- Experience designing responsive web and mobile experiences.
- Experience working within agile delivery teams with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Full design lifecycle experience: research, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, usability testing, iteration.
- Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, accessibility, and UCD principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors) or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Healthcare, health tech, or other regulated industry experience.
- Consulting or agency experience.
- Experience contributing to design systems/enterprise component libraries.
- Familiarity with WCAG and inclusive design best practices.
Logistics
- Full-time permanent, 40 hours/week.
- Remote with preference for candidates located in Virginia, Tennessee, or North Carolina.
- Client-provided laptop/software.

Salary
- $75,000–$95,000+ DOE
