Product Designer

Role: Staff Product Designer

Shape how millions of people experience the future of work by tackling Andela’s most ambiguous product challenges. You’ll blend high-level strategy with deep user empathy and establish frameworks, logic, and standards for the design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience Architecture: Lead design for complex, multi-sided marketplace flows, including the “big picture” logic connecting client hiring needs to talent career growth.
• Strategic Partnership: Partner with Product and Engineering to identify user-centric opportunities and help define the product roadmap aligned with commercial goals.
• Design Systems Governance: Own governance of Andela’s design language as the “source of truth,” guiding the evolution of a component library for accessibility, consistency, and visual quality.
• Data-Informed Innovation: Validate hypotheses using qualitative research and quantitative data; navigate dashboards to understand the “why” behind user behavior.
• Mentorship & Craft Excellence: Elevate team output via rigorous design reviews, workshops, and introducing new methodologies.
• Design Mentorship (Force Multiplier): Lead design sprints, conduct high-level critiques, and mentor Senior Designers.
