Product Design Lead, Finance

Role Overview

As Product Design Lead, Finance, you will set the vision for Rippling’s Spend Management Platform and drive it from concept to shipped product. The platform unifies major spend workflows—so employees can transact without friction while finance teams gain control, compliance, and clean reporting.

What You Will Do

• Define the long-term vision for the Spend Management Platform, bringing together Cards, Travel, Expenses, and Bill Pay into a cohesive hub for global finance.
• Partner with Research to understand complex finance workflows and translate them into simple, cross-product experiences.
• Design for both employees and finance leaders, balancing effortless day-to-day flows with required control, compliance, and visibility.
• Maintain a consumer-grade bar for craft and usability; elevate design quality across the Finance suite.
• Mentor designers in systems thinking, interaction design, and visual polish.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to make high-velocity decisions, ship with urgency, and advocate for customers throughout delivery.

What You Will Need

• 7–8+ years of end-to-end product design experience shipping complex, high-impact products (concept to launch, then iterating).
• A portfolio showing how you turn ambiguous, messy problems into simple, intuitive workflows, especially in complex domains.
• Strong interaction and visual design craft, including polished work across edge cases and states.
• Ability to communicate clear, build-ready specs.
• Strong customer focus and a habit of investigating real behavior, identifying pain points, and designing meaningful solutions.
