Product Design Engineer

Role Overview

You’ll join a client team as a Senior Product Design Engineer, combining design craft with production engineering. The focus is on making the product feel great—translating UI/UX details from Figma through to React/TypeScript implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership: Lead the design process from Figma wireframing to React/TypeScript implementation.
• Systems Design: Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library using shadcn/ui.
• Quality Engineering: Write accessible, production-quality React components with correct ARIA, keyboard, and focus management.
• Collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to turn complex workflows into clean user experiences.
• Design Standards: Define and enforce visual and interaction standards to ensure consistency across the product.

Requirements

• 5–10 years in a Design Engineer or hybrid designer/frontend role.
• Proven ability to ship production code while maintaining a strong design sensibility.
• Ability to quickly dive into complex problems in a remote, collaborative environment.
