About the role

Role overview

Product Data Analyst (m/f/d) to collaborate with product squads and use data to build a seamless product experience. You will join the Product Data Team and work closely with PMs, designers, UX researchers, developers, and other data functions to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and launch valuable features.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to generate product feature ideas and improvements, and estimate potential impact.
  • Engage continuously with product squads to understand problems, gather requirements, and define deliverables aligned to business needs.
  • Own analysis end-to-end: from ideation to communication of results and recommendations to senior management and prioritization committees.
  • Design and evaluate A/B tests (and other analyses) to measure and report feature performance.
  • Work with developers and data engineers to create and capture data aligned with business logic to enable modeling and analysis.
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle to ensure a data-driven process.
  • Share insights through dashboards and strong storytelling; ideas over hierarchy.
  • Help steer product direction by recommending which features/changes to develop for user needs.

Requirements

  • Curiosity and a drive to answer why things happen, producing well-founded actionable results.
  • Degree with strong mathematical-statistical background (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • 3+ years as a Data Analyst in a data-driven analytics environment, ideally within tech product organizations with stakeholder exposure.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to solve challenging problems.
  • Strong SQL skills plus databases and statistical programming tools (e.g., Python, R) to perform exploratory analysis, create reports, and maintain ETLs.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting A/B test results with solid statistical knowledge.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) and event tracking (e.g., Mixpanel, GA, Firebase).
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders; excellent English communication skills.

Flexible within Hamburg, Berlin, or Barcelona (role listed for Berlin).
