About the role
Role overview
Join AlphaSense as a Product Analyst in the Financial Data (FinData) team. You’ll help translate product goals into actionable requirements, analyze financial datasets to uncover insights and data gaps, and support planning and documentation for the product roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the FinData product roadmap
- Translate product goals into clear, actionable engineering requirements
- Query internal databases to identify key data-related insights and/or high-impact data gaps
- Perform data screening and validation to support quality assurance
- Coordinate project prioritization, dependencies, and sequencing across teams
- Contribute to product/feature release documentation and project planning
Requirements
- 1–3 years relevant experience (including internships or academic project work)
- Foundational SQL proficiency to query and work with financial datasets
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related)
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to turn complex problems into structured, data-driven solutions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced SQL techniques
- Python for data analysis and/or automation
- Strong interest in building a career in product management and technology development
