Role overview

As Principal Technical Talent Advisor at Twilio, you will shape the company’s hiring strategy by identifying and securing top engineering talent. This hybrid position blends hands-on technical talent acquisition with strategic planning and workforce strategy across North America and Latin America.

Key missions

Identify and secure top-tier engineering talent for Twilio’s platform across North America and Latin America
Manage a specialized requisition load while leading high-impact talent initiatives and operational excellence
Mentor and act as a role model within the Talent Acquisition team
Use market analytics and talent intelligence to inform recruitment strategies
Own complex sourcing, candidate journeys, and executive-level closing

Responsibilities

Lead high-stakes, high-touch candidate processes and determine optimal sourcing methodologies
Master contract/compensation negotiations and executive closing
Influence leadership with business acumen and talent market insights
Guide internal stakeholders on talent market realities and offer favorability
Design holistic search strategies and lead org-wide talent initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams and interface with VP+ executives, HRBPs, and leadership

Requirements

Ability to operate autonomously in a remote, fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Demonstrated success managing complex technical candidate journeys and advanced sourcing
Strong communication, critical thinking, and negotiation skills
Expertise in data modeling/analytics, external market mapping, and talent intelligence
Proficiency with ATS/CRM platforms and candidate relationship management; experience with AI recruiting tools/technology
Deep full-cycle technical recruiting experience for software/ML/AI engineers, TPMs, and engineering management (tech or tech-adjacent, e.g., fintech)
Leadership experience mentoring recruiters and steering cross-functional projects

Nice to haves

Experience leading or participating in global TA and recruiting programs
Track record of hiring across North America and Latin America
