Principal Technical Program Manager, Industry Software

Role Overview

As a Principal Technical Program Manager for Zillow’s Industry Software, you will lead complex, strategic cross-organizational programs that turn product and business strategy into measurable execution across multiple B2B platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, cross-functional programs from strategy & planning through launch and post-launch learning.
• Translate business/product priorities into program plans, milestones, success metrics, and execution rhythms.
• Align Product, Engineering, and Design on scope, sequencing, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Drive execution across complex platform areas including:
  • Identity
  • Access
  • Monetization
  • Internal tooling
• Communicate progress, decisions, and risks to senior and executive stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to ensure plans are scalable, realistic, and maintainable.
• Improve program delivery by strengthening governance, reporting, and TPM practices.
• Mentor partners and model operational excellence to improve clarity, quality, and delivery velocity.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management (or similar), leading large cross-team programs in complex organizations.
• Strong experience with B2B SaaS platforms/products; ideally in identity, access, monetization, billing, or other complex business systems.
• Proven ability to own end-to-end delivery for complex technical initiatives.
• Technically fluent in modern software architectures; can collaborate effectively on systems, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Strong influence skills in ambiguous environments; effective communication across technical and executive audiences.

Nice to Have

• Experience mentoring TPMs.
• Experience improving planning frameworks or leading cross-organizational operating models.
