About the role

Role overview

Join d-Matrix as a Principal Technical Program Manager to lead the release management function across a global software organization. You will build lightweight, scalable processes for predictable delivery and act as the operational bridge between Engineering, Product, QA, and IT/DevOps, translating company objectives into actionable software programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end release cycles for software, coordinating with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and IT/DevOps on scope, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Establish and enforce release criteria and quality gates, partnering with QA to ensure adequate testing coverage and resolution of critical bugs before release.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for releases, communicating release contents, status, risks, and "go/no-go" decisions to technical leads and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Technical Program Management experience in software development.
  • Strong release management experience across multiple stakeholders (Eng, Product, QA, IT), including creating release governance processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Proven experience managing distributed, multi-region engineering teams.
  • Background integrating complex software/hardware (experience in such environments).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, and Confluence.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI/ML, compiler/runtime, or kernel development.
  • Prior experience in AI/ML infrastructure, semiconductors, or system software companies.
  • Experience scaling engineering teams at Series B/C startups.
  • Knowledge related to GPU/NPU/custom ASIC optimization.
  • Experience managing external dependencies and customer-driven release timelines.
