Role Overview

Principal Software Test Engineer (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies and quality plans for complex enterprise software delivery programs.
• Own and apply end-to-end testing approaches, including:
  • Functional testing
  • Integration testing
  • End-to-end testing
  • Performance testing
  • Security testing
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Build and lead hands-on testing expertise using one or more of the following tools:
  • Playwright, Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, JMeter, k6, Gatling, OWASP ZAP
• Use enterprise test management platforms such as SpiraTest or Azure DevOps Test Plans.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Git-based development practices.
• Communicate effectively with executives, project leaders, technical teams, and customer stakeholders.
• Provide strategic technical leadership with strong analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills; influence decisions across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience (10+ years stated).
• 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, testing, or quality consulting.
• Significant experience supporting enterprise implementations.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies across functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, security, and UAT.
• Hands-on expertise with 2+ of the listed testing tools.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD with Git-based development practices.
• Ability to work in a consulting/professional services context (preferred).

Nice-to-Haves

• Consulting/Professional Services experience with enterprise SaaS implementations.
• Experience in higher education or another complex enterprise industry.
