About the role

Role overview

Principal Software Engineer – XTM Integration at Filigran (full-remote, Paris, France). You will set technical principles for the XTM Integration team, contribute to open source (including participation in the XTM Foundation), and write production code.

Responsibilities

Define and own the technical principles for the XTM Integration team, including:
- Architecture patterns
- Code quality standards
- CI/CD practices
Act as a technical reference for Filigran’s open-source integration ecosystem by ensuring published connector frameworks and integrations serve as best-practice examples.
Actively participate in the XTM Foundation by contributing to shared engineering principles and helping drive tool decisions.
Collaborate closely with the VP of Technology, the XTM Integration engineering team, and the open-source community.
Contribute to production code and integration frameworks.

Requirements

Strong experience as a principal/lead-level engineer, able to define engineering principles, standards, and architecture guidance.
Deep understanding of engineering practices related to code quality and CI/CD.
Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively within an open-source ecosystem and community.

Nice-to-haves

Direct involvement in or familiarity with a foundation/community-driven engineering process (e.g., XTM Foundation).
