About the role

Role Overview

Principal Software Engineer focused on .NET and AWS for a cloud-native SaaS platform supporting global creative teams. This is a remote role with occasional travel every 2 months, combining architecture ownership, engineering leadership, and hands-on development.

Responsibilities

Lead architectural direction and modernization of a large-scale SaaS platform
Improve scalability, performance, and reliability
Build and ship features using .NET and AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS)
Guide and collaborate across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and offshore engineering teams
Implement and enforce engineering best practices and code standards
Partner with Product leadership to deliver high-quality releases

Requirements

10+ years of experience building SaaS applications
3+ years in a Principal Engineer or Tech Lead role
Strong C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and xUnit
1+ years of AWS experience including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, EC2, Cognito
Strong system architecture and distributed systems expertise
Ability to review and guide React/TypeScript development
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Work Details

Remote with occasional travel every 2 months
Work hours: 9:00 am–6:00 pm EST
Direct hire only; no C2C / no third parties
Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
