About the role
Role Overview
Principal Software Engineer focused on .NET and AWS for a cloud-native SaaS platform supporting global creative teams. This is a remote role with occasional travel every 2 months, combining architecture ownership, engineering leadership, and hands-on development.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural direction and modernization of a large-scale SaaS platform
- Improve scalability, performance, and reliability
- Build and ship features using .NET and AWS serverless services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS)
- Guide and collaborate across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and offshore engineering teams
- Implement and enforce engineering best practices and code standards
- Partner with Product leadership to deliver high-quality releases
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building SaaS applications
- 3+ years in a Principal Engineer or Tech Lead role
- Strong C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and xUnit
- 1+ years of AWS experience including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB, EC2, Cognito
- Strong system architecture and distributed systems expertise
- Ability to review and guide React/TypeScript development
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
Work Details
- Remote with occasional travel every 2 months
- Work hours: 9:00 am–6:00 pm EST
- Direct hire only; no C2C / no third parties
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
