Role Overview
Principal Software Engineer (Frontend) — Developer Experience You will help improve the experience of end users across Chronosphere’s industrial-scale SaaS observability platform. The Developer Experience team builds intuitive, fast, and reliable interfaces that help software engineers diagnose and resolve incidents with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Build user experiences that surface critical insights quickly, streamline troubleshooting, and reduce cognitive load during incidents.
- Partner with Product, Design, and engineering peers to translate complex observability data into intuitive interfaces and workflows.
- Challenge designs, incorporate user feedback, and take ownership of the quality of what you ship.
- Evolve the architecture powering UIs and APIs using TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Node.js.
- Contribute to automation and efficiency by partnering with UI-focused engineers on automated tests, tooling, and deployment infrastructure.
- Mentor colleagues to deliver reliable, performant, high-quality user experiences.
- Help drive product direction and evolve platform architecture to meet product and scale needs.
Requirements
- Ability to independently own projects from inception through delivery while collaborating with PMs, UX designers, and engineers.
- Experience with observability tools and/or working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong curiosity and motivation to learn deep, complex domains.
