About the role

Role Overview

As a Principal Software Engineer - Front End at Veeva Systems, you will help innovate and streamline how Veeva builds and deploys front-end web applications used by tens of thousands of people daily. You will influence technical direction, advise development teams, and mentor early-career front-end engineers.

Responsibilities

Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems for complex web applications
Own feature implementation end-to-end, from design through delivery
Design, build, and enhance components in the company’s internal component library
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers
Establish and advocate best practices and coding standards
Lead code reviews to maintain high code quality

Requirements

12+ years of software development experience in a SaaS environment
8+ years of JavaScript experience (asynchronous programming, closures, types, ES6)
5+ years of HTML/CSS experience (layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility)
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React or Vue
Proficiency with CSS abstraction layers such as SASS or JSS
Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Must have unrestricted right to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
