Role Overview

Principal Software Engineer (Front End) at Veeva Systems, helping innovate and streamline how Veeva builds and deploys web applications used by tens of thousands of users daily.

What You’ll Do

Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems for complex web applications
Own feature delivery end-to-end, from design through implementation and release
Design, build, and enhance components in Veeva’s internal component library
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
Establish and advocate best practices and coding standards
Lead code reviews to maintain code quality

Requirements

12+ years of software development experience in a SaaS environment
8+ years of JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
5+ years of HTML/CSS, including layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (React or Vue)
Proficiency with CSS abstraction layers (Sass or JSS)
Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Unrestricted right to work in the United States (no sponsorship)
