Role overview

Provide technical leadership while staying hands-on in designing and building modern customer-facing web applications. You’ll help shape frontend architecture, establish engineering standards, and work closely with Product and Design to deliver polished, intuitive user experiences.

What you’ll do

• Architect and develop scalable frontend applications using Vue 3 (with TypeScript and modern frontend best practices)
• Design reusable component libraries and set frontend engineering standards
• Drive frontend architecture decisions for maintainability, scalability, and performance
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI Design, and Backend to deliver intuitive customer experiences
• Build responsive, accessible, high-performance web apps
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers on clean code and frontend best practices
• Develop unit and integration tests using modern frontend testing frameworks
• Optimize performance (e.g., code splitting, lazy loading, caching)
• Use modern tooling/build systems (e.g., Vite/Webpack/Rollup)
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity
• Contribute to long-term frontend strategy while remaining an active IC

Requirements

• 7+ years building production web applications
• Strong production experience with Vue 3 (and/or strong React or Angular experience)
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience architecting large-scale frontend applications
• Deep understanding of component-based architecture, state management, design patterns, and performance
• Experience building responsive and accessible UIs using HTML5, CSS3, and Tailwind CSS
• Experience with reusable component libraries or shared design systems
• Strong frontend performance optimization knowledge and browser capabilities
• Build tooling experience: Vite, Webpack, or Rollup
• Testing experience with Vitest, Jest, or similar frameworks
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and setting engineering standards
• UX/UI collaboration and UX/UI principles knowledge
• Experience in Agile environments
• Experience with AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar
• Excellent communication and technical leadership

Nice to have

• State management: Pinia or Redux
• Storybook / component-driven development
• End-to-end testing: Playwright or Cypress
• Styling: SCSS/SASS/PostCSS
• Experience in highly available, secure, or regulated environments
• Building large-scale customer-facing SaaS applications
