About the role
Role overview
Join ZoomInfo’s Data team as a Principal Software Engineer (Data). You’ll lead the direction of ZoomInfo’s technographic data services, building large-scale data pipelines and systems to process billions of signals.
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of technographic data services and data processing infrastructure.
- Build and scale data pipelines and architectures from scratch.
- Partner with data scientists to support and integrate machine learning models into data workflows.
- Continuously improve data quality, performance, and scalability.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering results and driving projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep expertise in big data frameworks such as Hadoop and Spark, and strong knowledge of the JVM stack (e.g., Java/Scala).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; ability to write efficient, high-quality code.
- Extensive experience building and scaling big data pipelines and architectures.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with data scientists, analysts, and product teams.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with entity recognition and NLP techniques.
- Experience working with very large datasets and distributed systems.
- Familiarity building data pipelines at large tech companies or data-driven organizations.
