About the role

Principal React Engineer

Join Interplay Learning’s Engineering team to lead front-end development for a mobile-first VR training platform. You’ll shape the user experience, partner with cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers while building high-quality web applications.

What you’ll do

Lead and contribute to cutting-edge web applications using React and TypeScript
Support teams building customer products and internal tooling (including support for simulation design workflows)
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define, design, architect, and ship software
Mentor and guide engineers; foster collaboration and continuous improvement
Maintain code quality via best practices, testing, and code reviews
Review MRs and communicate improvements clearly and empathetically
Extend expertise into mobile development and VR applications

Who you are

Seasoned frontend engineer with deep experience in React and TypeScript
Strong product mindset, able to understand user journey and translate it into technical solutions
Experienced frontend architect with knowledge of patterns such as:
- Monorepos
- Micro Frontends
- Meta frameworks
- BFF (Backend for Frontend)
Clear, empathetic communicator to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to haves (implied)

Experience across a range of frontend libraries/frameworks, including jQuery
Hands-on experience with VR and/or mobile frontend development
