About the role
Role overview
As Principal Product Operations Manager at Guild Education, you will be a senior individual contributor leading high-impact, cross-functional product initiatives. You’ll bridge product strategy, technical execution, and operational excellence—translating strategy into executable plans and ensuring smooth launch/release readiness.
Key missions
- Lead end-to-end cross-functional product initiatives, aligning teams, clarifying technical trade-offs, driving execution, and measuring outcomes.
- Translate product strategy into concrete execution plans with Engineering leaders, covering architecture boundaries, dependencies, and sequencing.
- Own launch and release readiness across stakeholders, ensuring teams are informed and prepared before anything ships.
- Develop and refine operational systems and operating cadences for the Grow product area.
- Conduct regular audits of R&D processes.
What you bring
- AI-forward mindset: strong opinions on where AI belongs in product development; experience building/prototyping AI-assisted tools and workflows (not just using AI tools).
- Executive communication: ability to distill operational/technical complexity for VP-level audiences while maintaining precision for Engineering leadership.
- Systems thinking & technical acumen: design scalable operating systems; understand architecture trade-offs, data flows, service dependencies, and cross-team sequencing.
- Ownership and outcome focus: step into gaps, clarify ambiguity, and drive results rather than coordinate.
- Agile expertise & tooling: experience using Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Product delivery leadership: proven track record designing/scaling product delivery systems across multiple teams/product areas.
- Analytics: define metrics, build dashboards, and use data to drive decisions.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Product Operations, Technical Program Management, Product Management, or a related role on product teams.
- Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives end-to-end with accountability for outcomes.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on prototyping experience with AI-assisted tools/workflows.
Remote
- Full remote.
