About the role
Role Overview
Join Workday as a Principal Product Manager in the Business Technology Go-To-Market Digital Customer Experience team. You will own the technical product roadmap, design digital customer experiences, and develop customer-facing properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the product’s technical roadmap, vision, strategy, and delivery plan, including underlying technical capabilities.
- Design and deliver digital customer engagement initiatives to drive journey improvements and digital engagement.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define and deliver cross-functional product strategies.
- Guide product teams toward high-value objectives and support education and adoption of Workday platform features.
- Set direction using data and KPIs, using data analysis to prioritize and measure long-term success.
- Lead research and customer insights efforts to uncover user behavior, unmet needs, and disruptive opportunities.
- Communicate within the Workday community and represent your product area.
Requirements
- 12+ years of product management experience delivering SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products at scale.
- Deep strategic domain knowledge of relevant industry/market dynamics (trends, competition, user behavior, emerging technologies, regulatory landscape).
- Proven ability to influence across the organization and secure buy-in for major initiatives.
- Exceptional strategic thinking for long-term product portfolio and business direction.
- Strong data analysis skills to derive insights, prioritize, and define KPIs.
- Customer-obsessed mindset: anticipate customer needs and translate pain points into product strategy.
- Mastery in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration (engineering, design, marketing leadership, executives, and partners).
- Ability to make complex, strategic decisions balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
