Principal Product Manager (remote USA)

Role overview

Principal Product Manager (Remote USA) at Alteryx, driving strategy and execution across in-market and next-generation products focused on Data Visualization. You will own the end-to-end vision and work across multiple cross-functional teams to innovate and improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own product vision and roadmap for data visualization capabilities across the platform
• Lead strategy and execution across multiple teams, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
• Drive roadmap decisions impacting multiple major features and technical teams
• Develop product requirements and specs, including Business Requirements Documents and feature specifications
• Manage delivery through the development lifecycle by removing impediments, identifying risks, and communicating progress to senior leadership
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders (prospects, customers, development, marketing, sales) to shape strategy
• Perform market and customer analysis (marketplace, customers, non-customers, competitors) to determine what to build and how to prioritize
• Engage with customers directly via discovery sessions, feedback, troubleshooting, and education (webinars/live events)
• Contribute to go-to-market: sales positioning and execution for the assigned product area

Requirements / Qualifications

• Hands-on domain experience with tools that enable customers to transform and visualize data
• Ability to ramp up on new technologies quickly and understand the broader product ecosystem
• Strong strategic leadership: long-term vision, anticipating current and future needs
• Excellent collaboration skills across PM leadership, executives, and cross-functional teams
• Ability to drive issues forward with little guidance

• Experience influencing more complex delivery structures, including partners and/or outsourced development
• Demonstrated practice of reducing technical debt through product decisions
