Principal Product Manager, LOB

Role Overview

As a Principal Product Manager for LOB (Lines of Business), you will shape how Assured’s claims platform evolves into a multi-LOB foundation. You’ll move quickly in ambiguity, balancing short-term momentum with long-term platform integrity.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and roadmap for extending the claims platform across multiple Property & Casualty (P&C) Lines of Business.
• Lead product execution in ambiguous spaces by clearly communicating assumptions and tradeoffs while aligning early and often with partners.
• Partner deeply with customers, claims leaders, sales, and implementation teams to understand workflows, regulatory requirements, and operational differences across lines of business.
• Co-create solutions integrating diverse perspectives so stakeholders feel heard and empowered.
• Collaborate with engineering and design to evolve reusable platform capabilities.
• Balance speed vs. strategy: know when to move fast for learning and when to slow down to avoid fragmentation and rework.
• Use analytics, customer insights, and operational metrics to form hypotheses, measure impact, and guide prioritization even when data is imperfect.
• Lead complex decisions on standardization vs. specialization across lines of business, including distinguishing between reversible and irreversible decisions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience owning large, complex product areas with meaningful business impact.
• Experience with platforms serving multiple customer segments or workflows (preferred).
• Strong data fluency and the ability to anchor decisions in measurable outcomes while staying flexible.
• Proven self-starter who identifies opportunities without waiting for direction and maintains momentum through ambiguity.
• Ability to simplify complexity and communicate transparently with clarity and empathy.
• Deep interest in building reliable, intuitive products for users in high-stakes, regulated environments.
• Comfortable partnering closely with engineering on system design, platform tradeoffs, and scalability (not required to write code).
• Experience in complex regulated domains is highly valued.

Nice to Have

• Product management experience in insurance or similarly regulated operational domains.
