Principal Product Manager (Agents and Context, Elasticsearch)

Role Overview

Join Elastic as a Principal Product Manager for Agents and Context within Elastic (Agent Builder), a critical context layer for AI agents. You’ll own the product vision, strategy, and execution, working across customers, sales, solution architecture, engineering, data science, and design.

Key Missions

• Define the vision, strategy, and execution for the Elastic Agent Builder to help users make AI agents faster, lower cost, and more accurate.
• Build, socialize, and align a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities on top of Elastic-powered retrieval and relevance for AI agents.
• Partner with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to gather requirements, negotiate priorities, and clarify product needs.
• Collaborate with data science and engineering to shape the strategy for benchmarking and evaluating agent capabilities.
• Work with design to create user experiences that improve how agents show and refine context during operation.

Responsibilities & How You’ll Work

• Lead execution in a remote-first environment.
• Use a bias to action mindset: run experiments, learn quickly, and iterate.
• Provide strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
• Lead across a matrixed organization to align stakeholders around a common vision.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products.
• Proven ability to lead data-intensive products from inception through launch and iterative growth.
• Strong AI/ML fluency, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership and influence across multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience benchmarking/evaluation frameworks for AI agent capabilities.
• Deep collaboration experience with engineers and data scientists on complex technical problems.
