About the role

Role overview

Join True Link Financial as a Principal Product Designer and lead end-to-end product design for the Card Platform, while supporting design needs for the Trust & Invest business. You’ll act as a senior design partner to product and engineering leaders, using customer insight and research to advocate for the user.

Key missions

Lead end-to-end product design for the Card Platform, including mobile UX iterations and new product expansion.
Drive customer insight & research: proactively run customer interviews and usability tests.
Act as a design consultant: identify high-impact areas, advocate for strategic focus, and improve user experience.

Responsibilities

Own the full design lifecycle from discovery and concepting through detailed interaction design and QA.
Present and defend design decisions and rationale to senior stakeholders and external partners.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and non-design stakeholders while maintaining design integrity.
Use grounded judgment and process: know when to go deep vs. move fast, and explain why.

Requirements

8+ years of product design experience, including strong end-to-end product design.
Proven ability to proactively generate insight and research.
Experience designing for complex, multi-audience products where different user groups have distinct needs.
Strong stakeholder communication and comfort presenting to senior/external partners.
High collaboration instinct; ability to work in lean team environments.
Strong alignment with values such as humility, ambition, caring, excellence, inclusion, and impact-driven mindset.

Nice-to-haves

Experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated products.
Familiarity with AI-powered product features and related UX considerations.
Experience designing for caregivers, older adults, or people with complex needs.
