Principal Product Designer (Real Estate)

Role Overview

Join OLX as a Principal Product Designer (Real Estate) to lead the transformation of the Real Estate vertical. You will define and uphold a unified, high-quality experience across all user touchpoints, with a craft-first approach to interaction, UX, and visual design.

Key Missions

• Spearhead a coherent cross-platform Real Estate experience, aligning brand, product, and design.
• Elevate the quality bar across the Real Estate vertical (interaction patterns and design/system architecture).
• Evolve design systems into structured, machine-readable formats so components, patterns, and flows are ready for AI-assisted creation and scalable adoption.

Responsibilities

• Set standards, guidelines, and governance models that teams actually adopt.
• Reduce fragmentation and increase consistency across multiple teams and products.
• Partner with design systems teams to ensure coherence across OLX.
• Collaborate closely with ML engineers and AI researchers on interaction models and product edge cases.
• Mentor and grow designers to deliver high-quality work and career progression.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience; proven ability operating at Staff/Principal level.
• Demonstrated track record shipping high-quality, complex digital products.
• Strong expertise in:
  • UX & interaction design
  • Visual design
  • Systems thinking
  • End-to-end product experiences
• Deep experience with design systems and scalable design frameworks.
• Experience defining standards, governance, and frameworks teams adopt.
• Comfort working with AI/ML-driven product design patterns, including:
  • prompt design
  • conversational UX
  • agentic workflows
  • human-in-the-loop patterns
  • progressive disclosure
  • trust calibration
• Active use of AI tools in your workflow (prototyping, research synthesis, design exploration, or code-assisted design).
• Ability to collaborate on technical AI concepts (confidence thresholds, error states, interaction edge cases).
• Understanding of how design systems become structured data/tokenized/machine-readable patterns.
• Builder mindset: design, prototype, refine (not only direct).
• Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to align cross-functional teams through clear design narratives.
• Strong attention to detail and design taste.

Nice to Have

• Interest or experience in AI-driven product workflows.
• Experimentation with AI tools for design and prototyping.
