About the role

Role overview

Principal Partner Solutions Architect at Cockroach Labs (full remote). You will lead strategic technical engagement across the global partner ecosystem—driving innovation, partner enablement, and community-driven adoption of distributed data and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

Act as a senior technical leader across cloud provider, ISV, and GSI partnerships.
Represent Cockroach Labs at major industry events; build trusted relationships and influence partner/customer thinking around distributed data and cloud-native architectures.
Create and deliver scalable enablement programs, including:
- workshops
- bootcamps
- demos
- training sessions
Collaborate with internal teams to support strategic engagement and ecosystem growth.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or developer advocacy.
Deep expertise in distributed systems, databases, and cloud-native architectures.
Strong public speaking and communication skills; recognized industry thought leader with experience speaking at conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
Ability to connect strategy with execution and influence both technical and business outcomes.
Credible storytelling and authentic technical evangelism skills.

Nice to have

Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or CockroachDB.
