Principal Frontend Engineer (fully remote, US)

Lead the development and scaling of a high-impact SaaS frontend platform used by thousands of organizations. Own features end-to-end—from design and architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance—while partnering with designers, backend engineers, and product/stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript
Own features across the full lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into intuitive UX
Break down complex technical challenges into actionable components and deliver production-ready solutions
Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers; help establish frontend architecture best practices
Integrate frontend apps with APIs/backend services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and data integrity

Requirements

6+ years of software engineering experience with strong focus on SaaS and large-scale frontend systems
Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, building and maintaining complex production-grade applications
Strong understanding of REST APIs, frontend-backend integration, and data modeling for scalability
Experience with automated testing and maintaining high code quality in production
Proven ability to own end-to-end features in fast-paced product teams
Strong communication skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

Experience with CI/CD workflows
Experience with containerized environments
Familiarity with tools like Storybook
