Principal DevOps Engineer (m/w/d)

Role overview

Principal DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to start immediately at one of the company’s German locations: Munich, Nuremberg, Leipzig, Berlin, Essen, or Frankfurt am Main. You will work closely with customers to build and run the infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities that power data and ML solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers on the implementation, operation, and optimization of data and ML solutions
• Own successful deployment and management of machine-learning models and the underlying platform
• Design, develop, and continuously optimize automated CI/CD pipelines with focus on quality, security, and scalability
• Evaluate and introduce modern technologies and best practices for automation, monitoring, observability, and scalability
• Enable effective cross-functional collaboration and establish shared standards between Development, Data Science, and Operations

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science / Informatics / Data Science or comparable qualification
• Fluent German (spoken and written)
• At least 4 years full-time experience, including building and maintaining infrastructure/data solutions
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS and/or Azure
• Container orchestration experience with Kubernetes and Helm
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident management
• Scripting skills in Python or Shell
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as a team
