Principal Designer

Role Overview

UiPath is seeking a Principal Designer to shape the design direction of its AI-forward workflow and automation products. You’ll lead design initiatives, mentor designers, and partner closely with Product Managers and engineers to deliver intuitive, engaging user experiences aligned with business goals.

What You’ll Do

• Design strategy & leadership: Define and drive design strategy, ensuring alignment between user needs and business objectives.
• Team mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to a global design team and help foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
• User-centered advocacy: Champion user-centered design by bringing customer feedback and user needs to key decisions.
• Visual design excellence: Elevate visual design quality and consistency across products and platforms.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Product Managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to execute design solutions on time.
• Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve design practices.
• Project management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• People & culture: Inspire and motivate designers, support growth, identify and resolve impediments, and promote a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of product design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in product design, communication design, or equivalent
• Experience designing with AI tools such as Claude Code or Codex
• Strong proficiency in Figma
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders and product leaders
• Solid understanding of cross-platform design systems and technical frameworks
• Project management skills to prioritize design needs and deliver successfully
• Plus: Experience in business automation or enterprise software
