Role overview

Join Headspace Health as a Principal Data Scientist to lead the evolution of data science across the care delivery and marketplace ecosystem. In this high-impact role, you’ll build analytical frameworks, deliver data science products, and generate insights that advance the company’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Design analytical frameworks and develop data science products that uncover mission-driving insights.
• Own and evolve demand and supply forecasting for care services, incorporating behavioral, operational, and external factors.
• Lead the development of end-to-end measurement frameworks for care pathways, ensuring high data quality and complete instrumentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to influence business strategy and member experience using advanced analytics.

Requirements

• Proven experience building and deploying forecasting models, optimization solutions, and decision frameworks in real-world, complex environments.
• Strong expertise in statistical modeling, causal inference, and experimentation.
• SQL and Python (required); experience with analytics/event tooling is preferred.
• 6+ years partnering with executive leadership and product leaders to align analytics/data science with strategic goals.
• 6+ years owning and managing data products and driving their strategic utilization for business impact.
• 7+ years with big data technologies (e.g., Redshift, S3, Databricks, data lakes, Spark).
• 8+ years well-rounded analytics and data science experience, ideally with exposure to Digital Health, high-growth SaaS, and/or Mental Health.

Nice-to-haves

• 4+ years progressive experience in healthcare analytics.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Amplitude, and/or Statsig for event-based deep dives and advanced analytics.
