Role overview

Join Salesforce as Principal Data and AI Architect—a senior, hands-on technical leader and trusted advisor to customers. You will design, validate, and operationalize enterprise-grade data and AI architectures centered on Salesforce D360 and the Agentforce platform.

Responsibilities

Act as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor to customers.
Lead pre-sales technical design: analyze customer needs and recommend solutions aligned with Agentforce and external integration needs.
Design, validate, and operationalize enterprise data/AI architectures.
Establish and share best practices for:
- Generative AI
- Agent interoperability
- Prompt engineering
- Data Cloud
- Cross-platform integrations
Partner with Account Executives and Product teams to help customers realize platform value.

Requirements

Strong communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts and align stakeholders.
Deep Salesforce expertise, including hands-on experience with Salesforce Agentforce and fluency with D360 and core Salesforce services.
Deep knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and ingestion patterns, including:
- Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift
- Batch, streaming, CDC
Proven experience in:
- Prompt engineering
- Agent lifecycle management
- Hands-on prototype development
Strong AI/ML foundation (predictive and generative AI) with ability to communicate value.
Programming proficiency (e.g., JavaScript, Python, SQL, R) and data tools/frameworks such as pandas or Jupyter.
Experience integrating Salesforce with external agent frameworks via APIs and open standards such as MCP and A2A.
Familiarity with prompt governance and observability/monitoring.
Background in cross-platform integrations (e.g., hyperscaler SDKs to Salesforce Flows).
Prior exposure to conversational voice pipelines or multimodal integrations via hyperscaler services.

Nice-to-haves / Additional signals

Exposure to TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLOps, and cloud AI platforms such as Google Vertex AI or AWS SageMaker.
Education in CS/Engineering/Data Science (or equivalent).

Experience

7+ years hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise data, analytics, and AI architectures.
