Role overview

Join Plain Concepts as a Principal Cloud Engineer to design, evolve, and scale cloud-native and AI-driven platforms. You’ll work closely with product and AI teams on secure, resilient, production-ready infrastructure, with the flexibility to work full remote or from the office.

Key responsibilities

Design, evolve, and scale cloud-native and AI-driven platforms that are secure, resilient, and production-ready
Lead mentoring within the Chapter, enabling senior engineers to guide practitioners at all levels
Collaborate with AI, data, and software teams to productionize ML/LLM solutions with an MLOps mindset
Independently lead projects and support solutioning aligned to business goals
Contribute to infrastructure and platform operations for high-traffic production web platforms

Requirements

8+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud/Platform Engineering
Strong cloud infrastructure background: IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native architectures
Proven production experience with Microsoft Azure
Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) and/or CI/CD practices
Experience with networking, security, and governance models in cloud environments
MLOps experience (model lifecycle, deployment, monitoring, retraining)
Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
Observability experience (e.g., Azure Monitor/App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)
Kubernetes/container orchestration knowledge
Comfortable with Agile methodologies, Jira and Confluence
Fluent English (mandatory) for daily work with international teams and clients
Ability to engage in technical presales (demos, solutioning, proposal writing)

Nice-to-haves

Experience with AI/ML or LLM-based platforms in production
Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
Background in software development (Python, Go, .NET, or similar)
Proactive technical leadership, autonomy, and continuous improvement mindset
