Role overview

Join Thumbtack as a Principal Business Finance Manager and serve as a trusted finance partner to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). You’ll help optimize go-to-market, sales, and other revenue-generating initiatives through financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting.

Key responsibilities

Act as Finance Business Partner to the CCO for go-to-market, sales, and revenue initiatives
Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for sales and go-to-market activities
Build and maintain financial models to guide decisions on key P&L drivers
Own monthly/quarterly forecasting, reporting, and spend management
Partner with Sales and Product to evaluate the impact of incentives, promotions, and pricing changes on revenue
Support business planning and help define team targets and OKRs

Requirements

8+ years of FP&A experience
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills using Excel and G-Suite
Experience working with Business Development and Sales teams
Excellent written and verbal communication; can explain insights beyond the numbers
Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations

Nice-to-haves

Prior experience in a public company and/or marketplace environment
Proactive adoption of AI tools to scale processes and improve insight delivery
